APSG “The Group” Awards

The Automotive Parts Services Group “APSG” (The Group) now made up of Federated, Pronto and Network members, held their 6th annual members meeting the week of April 25th at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, TX. This year’s meeting was the first live in person meeting the Group has had since 2019 and it was well attended. They had a large booth show and One on One meetings were held with a number of customers.

At the luncheon, The Group recognized “Supplier Partners” who have provided outstanding service and support to the members of APSG throughout 2021. There are many categories that they recognize like training, manpower, marketing, service levels, cataloging & data and of course “The Outstanding Vendor of the Year”. All the categories are voted on by the members of Federated and The Pronto Network. For a vendor to receive the vendor of the year award, they must score high or be the top supplier in all recognized categories.

Vendors are never usually recognized for more than one award, but once again, SMP has broken new ground. The first honor of the afternoon that went to SMP, was for outstanding shipping performance. Pictured below is the “Service Level Award”. They recognized that SMP stood head and shoulders above all other vendors and that no other vendor was even close to the shipping level SMP turned in. Thanks and congratulations to everyone that works hard to keep the parts pipeline flowing.

The second award of the afternoon that SMP was recognized with, we are no stranger to. This is the second consecutive year that SMP was recognized as the “Outstanding Vendor of the Year”! As previously pointed out, a vendor must be recognized as the top supplier in all categories. Once again, SMP has raised the bar high for all other vendors that supply APSG.
