SMP^® Honored at AutoZone^® Vendor Summit

Standard Motor Products, Inc. was recently presented with AutoZone’s “What it Takes to Dothe Job Right” award at its annual Vendor’s Summit.

During the ceremony, AutoZone^® presenters remarked how SMP^® is uniquely qualified to receive this award, “Over the past year this vendor has exemplified what it takes to do the job right.” Recently this vendor earned a portion of two of our larger categories due to their understanding of the overall market, attention to detail, and strong category management capabilities. Collaborating with them has grown the business, both the DIY and Commercial.”

“During the transition they worked with Supply Chain and our CMs to streamline DC loads and also suggested optimal case size based on demand. They worked with our marketing team to ensure that Duralast^® artwork was completed quickly. They had great execution without any mistakes. Additionally, this vendor has been instrumental in growing another important category; our AC hard part category has had significant growth since they became our primary vendor several years ago. Last summer was no exception; another banner year. All while they integrated an acquisition. Therefore, it is our pleasure to award this WITTDTJR award to Standard Motor Products.”
